Precious clogs (寶屐): [The second character is read with the fanqie] 擎戟. Gu Yewang says: 'The Kongcongzi mentions wearing elevated square clogs to see Lord Pingyuan.' The Gujin zhengzi states: '屐 means wooden shoes (屩); it takes 履 abbreviated as radical and 支 as phonetic.' 屩 is pronounced 居略. In the register it is written as 履, an error introduced in copying.
