濡溼（上乳朱反毛詩傳云濡漬也又潤澤也說文從水需聲需音須也下深入反顧野王云溼猶霑潤也說文幽溼也從水一一覆土而有水故溼從㬎者俗字非也）。

Damp and moist (濡溼: the first character has the fanqie 乳朱 [rǔ + zhū -> rú]; Mao's *Poetry Commentary* says: "*Ru* (濡) means to soak; it also means to moisten." The *Shuowen [jiezi]* states: "It takes the 'water' radical with *xu* (需) phonetic; *xu* is pronounced like 須 [xū]." The second character has the fanqie 深入 [shēn + rù -> shī]; Gu Yewang says: "*Shi* (溼) is like being moistened and soaked." The *Shuowen [jiezi]* says: "Dark and moist; it takes the 'water' radical, with one line covering the earth above and water below, hence *shi*. To write it with 㬎 is a vulgar character and incorrect").
