鐵絆（下般慢反考聲云絆繫兩足也漢書貫仁義之羈絆也說文馬馽也從糸半聲經從革作靽誤馽音知及反）。

Iron fetter (鐵絆: the second character has the fanqie 般慢 [bān + màn -> bàn]; the *Kaosheng* says: "*Ban* (絆) means binding both feet." The *Hanshu* says: "Entangled in the bonds (*jiban*) of benevolence and righteousness." The *Shuowen [jiezi]* says: "A hobble for horses; it takes the 'silk' radical with *ban* (半) phonetic." The sūtra text writes it with the 'leather' radical as 靽, which is an error; hobble (*zhi* 馽) has the fanqie 知及 [zhī + jí -> zhī]).
