羆頭（上彼皮反郭注爾雅羆似熊而長頭高脚多力能拔木關西呼為猳熊說文如熊黃白也從熊罷省聲猳音加）。

羆頭 (upper character: *bi* + *pi* fanqie; Guo's commentary to the *Erya* says: 'The brown bear resembles a bear but has a long head, tall legs, immense strength, and can uproot trees; in Guanxi it is called the boar-bear.' The *Shuowen* says: 'Resembles a bear, yellow and white; derived from 熊 with the abbreviated phonetic component 罷.' The pronunciation of 猳 is *jia*).
