浣染（上桓椀反鄭箋毛詩云浣濯也劉注公羊云浣去舊垢曰濯也亦作澣說文作浣從水完聲完音桓也）。

浣染 (upper character: *huan* + *wan* fanqie; Zheng's commentary to the *Mao shi* says: '浣 means to wash.' Liu's commentary to the *Gongyang* says: '浣 means to remove old grime, which is called washing (濯); it is also written as 澣.' The *Shuowen* writes it as 浣, derived from 水 with 完 as phonetic. The pronunciation of 完 is *huan*).
