螉蟲（上屋紅反方言蜂小者謂之蠮螉也郭璞曰小細腰蜂也說文螉蟲在牛馬皮中也從虫翁聲蠮音燕繼反）。

螉蟲 (upper character: *wu* + *hong* fanqie; the *Fangyan* says: 'Small bees are called 蠮螉.' Guo Pu says: 'A small thin-waisted wasp (mason wasp).' The *Shuowen* says: 'The 螉 is an insect in the hides of cattle and horses; derived from 虫 with 翁 as phonetic.' The pronunciation of 蠮 is *yan* + *ji* fanqie).
