搪揬, to push against or rush into (the first [character is pronounced with the fanqie] 蕩 + 郎; the Fangyan states: "Tang (搪) means to stretch out"; the Guangya also states it means to rush into (揬); the Gujin zhengzi states it has the hand radical and tang (唐) phonetic; the second [character is pronounced with the fanqie] 鈍 + 骨; character dictionaries state that tu (揬) means to rub; the Wenzidian shuo states: "To collide or charge into"; it has the hand radical and tu (突) phonetic).
