野狐, wild fox (the first [character is pronounced with the fanqie] 耶 + 且; the sūtra writes it with the insect radical as 蠱, which has the sense of venomous sorcery (𰴁蠱) and black magic, but the character is also used interchangeably for demonic beasts).
