A young bride's bearing (嫈嫇) (the upper character is [pronounced] 厄 + 莖 [è-jīng > yīng]; the lower is [pronounced] 麥 + 彭 [mài-péng > méng]; the Kaosheng says: "the appearance of a village woman, the bearing of a new bride"; both characters take the "woman" radical [女] and have 螢 abbreviated for phonetic; in the sūtra text 嫇 is written as 嬪, which is a scribal error).
