Screaming and shouting [欸喚]: (The upper character is he-jie fan [ai]; loud shouting and roaring; roaring in great fury. The text of the sūtra writes it with kou [口] and jie [戒] as 㖑, which is a popular graph; or with wan [萬] as 蠆. Han [譀] is pronounced he-jian fan; jiao [叫] is pronounced ji-yao fan; chai [蠆] is pronounced chi-jie fan).
