窠窟（上苦和反考聲云鳥穴曰窠古今正字鳥巢也從穴果聲下苦骨反杜注左傳云窟地室也說文從穴屈聲也）。

窠窟, nest and cave (the first [character is pronounced with the fanqie] 苦 + 和; the Kaosheng states: "A bird's hole is called a ke (窠)"; the Gujin zhengzi states: "A bird's nest"; it has the cave radical and guo (果) phonetic; the second [character is pronounced with the fanqie] 苦 + 骨; Du's commentary to the Zuo zhuan states: "Ku (窟) is an underground chamber"; the Shuowen states it has the cave radical and qu (屈) phonetic).
