蟁蝱（上音文吳音密彬反說文嚙人飛蟲子也昏時而出也下陌彭反說文齧人飛蟲大於蠅俗作䖟義訓同上蚊䖟並俗字也）。

蟁蝱 (The first character has the sound 文 [wén]; in the Wu dialect it has the fanqie 密彬 [mín]. The Shuowen jiezi says: "A flying insect that bites people, coming out at dusk." The second character has the fanqie 陌彭 [méng]. The Shuowen jiezi says: "A biting flying insect larger than a fly; popularly written as 䖟." The meaning is as above; 蚊 and 䖟 are both popular variant forms).
