煒曄（上韋鬼反毛詩傳曰煒赤色考聲云煒曄光彩盛也說文從火韋聲下炎輒反毛詩傳曰暐曄震雷聲楚辭熾也說文光也從日華聲也）。

煒曄, brilliant and radiant (the first [character is pronounced with the fanqie] 韋 + 鬼; the Mao Commentary to the Odes states: "Wei (煒) is a red colour"; the Kaosheng states: "Weiye (煒曄) means full of brilliance and luster"; the Shuowen states it has the fire radical and wei (韋) phonetic; the second [character is pronounced with the fanqie] 炎 + 輒; the Mao Commentary to the Odes states: "Weiye (暐曄) is the sound of shaking thunder"; the Chuci says it means blazing; the Shuowen states it means bright, having the sun radical and hua (華) phonetic).
