擒縶（及林反考聲擒捉也或作㩒說文作捦急持也從手金聲也下張邑反毛詩傳曰縶絆也音半也杜注左傳云拘縶也從糸音覓執聲也）。

擒縶 (qínzhí; the upper character has the fanqie 及林 [qín]; the Kaosheng says it means to catch or seize; it is also written as 㩒; the Shuowen jiezi writes it as 捦, meaning to hold tightly; it is composed of 手 [hand] with 金 [jīn] giving the sound; the lower character has the fanqie 張邑 [zhí]; the Mao Commentary to the Shijing says that zhí means to hobble, with the pronunciation bàn; Du's commentary on the Zuozhuan says it means to detain and bind; it is composed of 糸 [silk], pronounced mì, with 執 [zhí] giving the sound).
