盲瞖(上莫彭反玉篇云盲冥也說文目無眸子曰盲考聲目無見也從目亡聲也下於計反考聲目中瞖也字書目障瞙也從目殹聲也殹音同上經從壹從目作𪾼非也)。
Blindness and cataracts (盲瞖: the upper character is mo-peng [fanqie]. The Yupian says: "盲 (mang) means darkness." The Shuowen says: "Eyes without pupils are called 盲." The Kaosheng says: "Eyes that cannot see. It takes its semantic classifier from 目 'eye' and 亡 is the phonetic." The lower character is yu-ji [fanqie]. The Kaosheng says: "A cataract in the eye." The Zishu says: "An obstructive membrane over the eye. It takes its semantic classifier from 目 'eye' and 殹 is the phonetic." 殹 has the same pronunciation as above. In the sutra it is written with 壹 and 目 as 𪾼, which is incorrect).
