梯蹬（上天堤反賈逵注國語梯階也說文木階也從木弟聲也下當鄧反考聲蹬履也韻英踐也說文從阜作隥隥卭也從足登聲也）。

梯蹬 [Ladder and steps] (The first character is tian + ti fan. Jia Kui's commentary on the Guoyu says: '梯 means stairs.' The Shuowen says: 'Wooden stairs.' It is from 木 [wood] with 弟 as phonetic. The second character is dang + deng fan. The Kaosheng says: '蹬 means footwear.' The Yunying says: 'To tread.' The Shuowen writes it with 阜 as 隥: '隥 means to climb.' It is from 足 [foot] with 登 as phonetic).
