嫉妒（上情逸反下當故反王逸注楚辭云害賢曰嫉害色曰妒鄭注毛詩序云以色曰妒以行曰忌說文從女從戶聲也）。

Envy and jealousy (嫉妒: the first character is pronounced 情 + 逸 fanqie; the second character is pronounced 當 + 故 fanqie; Wang Yi's commentary on the Songs of Chu says: 'Resenting the worthy is called 嫉; resenting beauty is called 妒'; Zheng's commentary on the Preface to the Classic of Poetry says: 'Being jealous on account of beauty is called 妒; being jealous on account of conduct is called 忌'; Shuowen says: it takes nü [女] as its classifier and 戶 as its phonetic).
