鬚髮（上相逾反說文作須髭須也下藩襪反考聲頂毛也說文髮根也從髟犮聲也髟音衫刃音蒱末反或作[媏-而+頁]皆古字也）。

Beard and hair (鬚髮: the first character is pronounced 相 + 逾 fanqie; Shuowen writes it as 須, meaning beard and whiskers; the second character is pronounced 藩 + 襪 fanqie; Kaosheng says: hair on the crown of the head; Shuowen says: the root of hair; it takes biao [髟] as its classifier and 犮 as its phonetic; 髟 is pronounced 衫; [the initial of 犮 is] 刃, pronounced 蒱 + 末 fanqie; it is also written as [媏-而+頁], both being ancient characters).
