And extended to (爰暨: the second character has the fanqie 其意 [jì]; the Erya says: 'Jì means to reach to.' Kong Anguo's commentary on the Classic of Documents says: 'Together with.' Du Yu's commentary on the Zuo Zhuan says: 'To arrive at.' The Shuowen jiezi says it takes 'dawn' [旦] as radical and has jì [既] as phonetic. The catalogue writes it as jì [洎], which is incorrect).
