龕別（上音堪廣雅云龕即盛也文字典說云著佛處也從今從龍會意字也錄文從合作龕俗字）。

龕別 (the first character is pronounced *kān*; the *Guangya* says: “*Kān* (龕) means to hold.” The *Wenzi dian说* says: “A place where a Buddha is placed. It is composed of ‘now’ (今) and ‘dragon’ (龍), being an associative compound character.” The text of the catalogue has it composed with ‘harmonise’ (合) as 龕, which is a vulgar character).
