盥洗（上官椀反顧野王云凡洗物皆曰盥說文云盥澡手也從臼木臨皿也）。

盥洗 (the first character is *gu[ān]-wǎn* fanqie; Gu Yewang says: “Washing any object is called *guàn* (盥).” The *Shuowen jiezi* says: “*Guàn* means to wash one's hands. It is composed of [the radicals] *jiù* (臼), *mù* (木), overlooking *mǐn* (皿, basin)”).
