睇眄（上音弟下音麵鄭注禮記睇猶顧視也考聲云睇亦睇也古今正字從目弟聲也方言云眄亦睇也說文目偏合也從目丐聲丐音沔）。

睇眄 (The first character is pronounced dì; the second is pronounced miàn. Zheng's commentary on the Liji says: "Dì is like looking back/glancing." The Kaosheng says: "Dì also means to gaze." The Gujin zhengzi states it takes the eye classifier with dì as phonetic. The Fangyan says: "Miǎn also means to gaze." The Shuowen says: "Looking with one eye squinted." It takes the eye classifier with gài as phonetic; gài is pronounced miǎn.)
