玼瑣 (the first character is *q[ī]-lǐ* fanqie; the *Mao Commentary to the Classic of Poetry* says: “*Cǐ* (玼) is the appearance of fresh brightness.” The *Shuowen jiezi* says: “New color that is fresh. It is composed of [the radical] ‘jade’ (王) with *cǐ* (此) as phonetic.” The second character is *s[ū]-guǒ* fanqie; the *Mao Commentary to the Classic of Poetry* says: “*Suǒsuǒ* (瑣瑣) is a diminutive appearance.” The *Guangya* says: “*Suǒ* (𤨏) means connected.” The *Shuowen jiezi* says: “Composed of ‘jade’ (玉) with 𧴲 as phonetic.” 𧴪 is pronounced *suǒ*, same as above).
