瑰奇（上鱠回反毛詩傳云　瑰石之次玉者也杜預注左傳云瑰珠也埤蒼云瑰瑋珍奇也說文云以珍瑰為傀亦在人部中今也從玉鬼聲錄文從衣作　古文俗字也字書又作傀下巨基反正從大作奇錄作奇俗字也）。

瑰奇 (the first character is *ku[ài]-huí* fanqie; the *Mao Commentary to the Classic of Poetry* says: “A *guī* (瑰) is a stone secondary to jade.” Du Yu's commentary on the *Zuo tradition* says: “*Guī* is a pearl.” The *Picang* says: “*Guīwěi* (瑰瑋) means rare and marvelous.” The *Shuowen jiezi* says: “Taking rare and precious *guī* to be 傀; it is also under the ‘human’ section. Nowadays it is composed of ‘jade’ (玉) with *guǐ* (鬼) as phonetic.” The text of the catalogue writes it with the ‘clothing’ radical as [䂓], which is an ancient vulgar character. Character dictionaries also write it as 傀. The second character is *j[ù]-jī* fanqie; the standard form is composed of ‘great’ (大) as 奇. The catalogue writes it as 奇, which is a vulgar character).
