摭之（上征石反孔安國尚書序云採摭羣言以立訓傳也方言摭拾也以手取物也考聲云摭亦拾也字書桂苑珠叢亦從石作拓音義並同說文從手庶聲會意也）。

摭之 (The first character has the fanqie zheng [征] + shi [石]. Kong Anguo's preface to the Shangshu says: "Selecting and gathering [cǎizhí] various words to establish instruction and traditions." The Fangyan says: "Zhí means to gather; to pick up objects with the hand." The Kaosheng says: "Zhí also means to gather." Dictionaries such as Guiyuan zhucong also write it with the stone radical as 拓; their pronunciation and meaning are identical. The Shuowen says: "It is formed with the hand radical [手] and shù [庶] as the phonetic component, as a compound ideograph.")
