脫躧（下師滓反孟子云視棄天下如棄弊躧案棄義即與脫躧同考聲云躧履屬也說文從革作𩌦聲類同古今正字從履省錄作屣通）。

脫躧 (The second character has the fanqie shi [師] + zi [滓]. Mencius says: "Viewing casting away the realm as casting away worn-out slippers [xǐ]." Examining this, the meaning of 'casting away' is identical with tuōxǐ. The Kaosheng says: "Xǐ is a type of shoe." The Shuowen writes it with the leather radical as 𩌦, and the Shenglei agrees. The Gujin zhengzi states: "It is formed with an abbreviated lǚ [履]." The catalogue writes it as 屣, which is acceptable.)
