䍑究（上正罕字案說文從罔作𦉴訶坦反毛詩傳云𦉴猶希也顧野王云希踈也錄作罕誤下鳩又反毛詩傳云究即窮也郭注尒雅云謂覈盡也說文從穴九聲）。

䍑究 (The first character is properly the character hǎn [罕]. According to the Shuowen, it is formed with the net radical as 𦉴, fanqie hē [訶] + tǎn [坦]. The Mao Classic of Poetry commentary says: "𦉴 is like rare [xī]." Gu Yewang says: "Rare and sparse." Writing it in the catalogue as 罕 is an error. The second character has the fanqie jiu [鳩] + you [又]. The Mao Classic of Poetry commentary says: "Jiū means to exhaust." Guo Pu's commentary on the Erya says: "It means to verify completely." The Shuowen says: "It is formed with the cave radical [穴] and jiǔ [九] as the phonetic component.")
