蕪穬（上音無字統云蕪荒薉也賈逵注國語亦薉也說文從草無聲下虢猛反蒼頡篇云穬即粟也虢關麥反字林云穀有芒者也說文芒粟也從禾廣聲）。

蕪穬 (The first character is pronounced wú. The Zitong says: '蕪 means overgrown with weeds and waste.' Jia Kui's commentary on the Guoyu also says: 'It means waste.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It is derived from cǎo [草] with wú [無] as phonetic.' The second character has the fanqie guo2-meng3. The Cangjie pian says: '穬 means grain.' With the fanqie guo2-mai4, the Zilin says: 'It means cereal crops that have awns.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It means awned unhusked grain; it is derived from hé [禾] with guǎng [廣] as phonetic').
