彞訓（上以之反孔注尚書彝常也周禮注也說文云器也象形與爵同從系廾持器中實實即米也從⺕⺕亦聲系音奚計反廾音拱⺕音居例反）。

彞訓 (The first character has the fanqie yi + zhi. Kong's commentary on the Shangshu says: "Yí means constant." Also commented upon in the Zhouli. The Shuowen says: "A ritual vessel; a pictograph, identical to jué. It is composed of xì and gǒng holding a vessel, filled with reality inside; reality means rice. It takes ⺕, and ⺕ is also phonetic." Xì has the fanqie xi + ji; gǒng is pronounced gǒng; ⺕ has the fanqie ju + li.)
