欄楯（上音蘭下脣尹反漢書音義云楯亦欄也說文云楯欄檻也從木盾聲盾音同）。

Balustrade (欄楯: the upper character has the sound lán; the lower is chún + yǐn [shǔn]; Hanshu yinyi says: "楯 is also a balustrade." Shuowen says: "楯 means a balustrade or railing; derived from 木 [wood] with 盾 as phonetic; 盾 has the same sound.").
