挻埴（上設延下承力反宋忠云挻和也埴土也陶匠和土為瓦[午/止]之器也古今正字從手延聲埴從土直聲也）。

Kneading clay (挻埴: the upper character is shè + yán [shān]; the lower is chéng + lì [zhí]; Song Zhong says: "挻 means to knead; 埴 means clay. Potters knead clay to make earthenware vessels." Gujin zhengzi: "挻 is derived from 手 [hand] with 延 as phonetic; 埴 is derived from 土 [earth] with 直 as phonetic.").
