剔齗（上汀歷反已釋高僧傳第二十七卷中下屼斤反蒼頡篇云齗齒根也說文從齒斤聲）。

剔齗 (To pick the gums: the upper character is [tī], [fanqie] 汀歷, already explained in fascicle 27 of the Biographies of Eminent Monks; the lower character is [yín], [fanqie] 屼斤. The Cangjie pian states: "Yín means the root of the teeth." The Shuowen jiezi says it is written with the tooth radical and the phonetic jīn).
