讙囂（上喧袁反傳作諠義同廣雅云讙鳴也顧野王云呼召也又云讙嚻猶諠譁也說文諠譁也言雚聲下香妖反說文云氣出頭上也從㗊從頁首也㗊音側立反）。

讙囂 (Noisy clamour: the upper character is [huān], [fanqie] 喧袁; in transmissions written as 諠, with the same meaning; the Guangya states: "Huān means calling out." Gu Yewang says: "To shout and call; also, huānxī means loud clamour." The Shuowen jiezi says: "Loud clamour; written with the speech radical and the phonetic guān." The lower character is [xiāo], [fanqie] 香妖. The Shuowen jiezi states: "Breath rising above the head; written with 㗊 and 頁 [head]"; 㗊 is [fanqie] 側立).
