自縊（下伊計反左傳云莫敖縊干荒谷考聲云縊猶自刑死也公羊傳云靈王自縊而死何休注云謂自經而死）。

自縊 (The second is pronounced with the fanqie 伊 + 計. The Zuo zhuan states: "The Mo'ao hanged himself in Huanggu." The Kaosheng states: "Yi is like executing oneself to death." The Gongyang zhuan states: "King Ling hanged himself to death." He Xiu's commentary states: "It means hanging oneself by the neck to die").
