鯨海（上競迎反許叔重曰鯨魚之王字統從畺作䲔海中大魚也長千餘里說文從魚畺聲今從京作鯨通用字）。

鯨海 (The first character is *jing* + *ying* [fanqie]. Xu Shuzhong says: "The king of fishes." The *Zitong* writes it with 畺 as 䲔: "A giant fish in the sea, more than a thousand li long." The *Shuowen* [says]: "Composed of the fish radical with 畺 as the phonetic." Nowadays it is commonly written with 京 as 鯨, which is an interchangeable character.)
