髫丱（上亭彫反埤蒼云髫髦也考聲云小兒剃髮留兩邊也古今正字亦髡也從髟召聲髦音毛髟音必遙反傳從齒作齠俗字也下關患反鄭箋毛詩云童未笄結髮丱然字鏡韻詮並云丱童子緫角象形字也緫音惣）。

髫丱 (The first character has the fanqie 亭彫. The Picang says: “髫 [tiáo] means tufts of hair.” The Kaosheng says: “When a small child's head is shaved, hair left on both sides is called this.” The Gujin zhengzi also says: “To shave the hair.” It has the radical 髟 and phonetic 召. 髦 is pronounced 毛. 髟 has the fanqie 必遙. In transmissions it is written with the radical 齒 as 齠, which is a vulgar character. The second character has the fanqie 關患. Zheng's commentary on the Mao Shi says: “A child who has not yet pinned her hair has it tied into tufts [丱然].” Both the Zijing and the Yunquan say: “丱 [guàn] refers to a youth's twin topknots; it is a pictographic character.” 緫 is pronounced 惣).
