排俊（上敗埋反廣雅排推也音他雷反從手隹傳文從人作俳非也是俳優字非此用下遵迅反韻英云才當千人曰俊集訓云賢過於百人曰俊說文訓與上同從人夋聲夋音七旬反傳中從弓作儁亦通訓亦同上從人從隹）。

排俊 Oust the pre-eminent (the first character is pronounced [in fanqie] 敗 + 埋; the Guangya says: "排 means to push;" pronounced [in fanqie] 他 + 雷; formed with 'hand' (手) and 'short-tailed bird' (隹); the transmission text writes it with 'person' as 俳, which is incorrect, as that is the character for an actor/entertainer and not used here. The second character is pronounced [in fanqie] 遵 + 迅; the Yunying says: "One whose talent equals a thousand men is called 俊 (eminent)." The Jixun says: "One whose worthiness surpasses a hundred men is called 俊." The Shuowen's explanation is the same as the above; formed with 'person' (人) as semantic and 夋 as phonetic; 夋 is pronounced [in fanqie] 七 + 旬; in the transmission it is also written with 'bow' as 儁, which is also admissible, with the same meaning as above, formed from 'person' and 'short-tailed bird').
