煨燼(上烏迴反廣雅云煨熅也說文煨盆中火也從火從畏省聲也下夕進反杜注左傳云燼火之餘木也玉篇正作燼音訓與上同)。
煨燼 (The first is pronounced with the fanqie 烏 + 迴. The Guangya states: "Wei means hot ashes [熅]." The Shuowen states: "Wei is fire within a basin; formed from 'fire' [火] with abbreviated 'fear' [畏] as phonetic." The second is pronounced with the fanqie 夕 + 進. Du's commentary to the Zuo zhuan states: "Jin is the leftover wood from a fire." The Yupian properly writes it as 燼, with the same pronunciation and explanation as above).
