絓是（上胡卦反王逸注楚辭云絓懸也方言持也左傳云驂絓於木而止也顧野王云礙說文從系圭聲也）。

Entangled in this (絓是: the first character is pronounced *hu* + *gua* [guà]. Wang Yi's commentary on the *Elegies of Chu* says: '絓 means suspended.' The *Fangyan* says: 'To hold.' The *Zuo tradition* says: 'The outer harness-horse became entangled (絓) in a tree and halted.' Gu Yewang says: 'Obstructed.' The *Shuowen jiezi* says: 'Formed from the "silk" radical (系) with *gui* (圭) as the phonetic component.').
