盥洗（上官短反說文澡手也從臼弓六反從水臨皿會意字亦象形皿音明秉反）。

盥洗 (washing hands): The first character is the fanqie 官 (g-) + 短 (duǎn) [guǎn]. The Shuowen jiezi says: "To wash the hands. It takes 臼 (the fanqie 弓 gōng + 六 liù [jū]), 水 (water), overlooking a 皿 (basin). It is an ideogrammic compound and also a pictograph." 皿 is the fanqie 明 (m-) + 秉 (bǐng) [mǐng].
