饋遺 ('to send as a present'; the first character has the fanqie da + wei [kuì]. The Yili says: 'To present cooked food.' The Shuowen says: 'To offer food as a gift.' It is a phono-semantic character. The second character has the fanqie wei + hui [wèi]. The Guangya says: 'Yi means to give.' Gu Yewang says: 'To present as a gift.' It is a phonetic loan character).
