逾邈（上庾朱反廣雅云逾遠也孔注尚書云逾越也說文越進也從辵俞聲下尨剝反王逸注楚辭云邈遠方言漸也廣也郭注云曠遠之貌也古今正字從辵貌聲尨音母邦反貌音皃）。

逾邈 ('far-distant'; the first character has the fanqie yu + zhu [yú]. The Guangya says: 'Yu means far.' Kong's commentary on the Shangshu says: 'Yu means to cross over.' The Shuowen says: 'To cross over and advance; it takes 辵 as radical and 俞 as phonetic.' The second character has the fanqie mang + bo [miǎo]. Wang Yi's commentary on the Chuci says: 'Miao means distant.' The Fangyan says: 'To advance gradually; vast.' Guo's commentary says: 'The appearance of being vast and distant.' The Gujin zhengzi says: 'It takes 辵 as radical and 貌 as phonetic; 尨 has the fanqie mu + bang; 貌 is pronounced mào').
