Tree stumps (扠株) (the first character has the fanqie *ŋ-at* [五葛反]; the second character has the fanqie *ʈ-ɨo* [陟殊反] / The *Kaosheng* says: "The remaining stumps and roots of felled trees" / The *Shuowen* writes it as 櫱, which refers to fresh shoots growing out from a stump; it is not used in that sense here / The *Shuowen* says: "㮆 means the remains of felled trees"; the correct form is written as 𣡌, taking 'tree' and 'to present' [radical]; in ancient script it is written as 𣎴 / The *Shangshu* states: "Like a fallen tree having sprouted shoots").
