蠻獠（上馬班反下音老亦音嘲狡反正體從𮙥作䝤或從巢作[豸*巢]南方海隅蠻夷也閩越已南盡是也本是虵種故從𮙥作此類人無恩義好行陰毒強欺弱互相食殺害為業）。

蠻獠 (The first character has the fanqie 馬班; the second is pronounced 老, and also has the fanqie 嘲狡. The standard form is composed with the classifier 𮙥 as 䝤, or with 巢 as [豸*巢]. Barbarians of the southern sea-coasts, encompassing all regions south of Minyue. Originally being of serpentine stock, the character is thus formed with 𮙥. These people have no gratitude or righteousness, delight in practicing hidden treachery, oppress the weak by force, and make killing and preying upon one another their trade).
