帚柄（上周酉反顧野王帚所以掃除糞穢也說文從又持巾掃門右者下兵命反字書執也持也把也說文從木丙聲也）。

帚柄 [broom handle] (The first character is pronounced with the fanqie 周酉 [zhou]. Gu Yewang says: 'A broom is that which is used to sweep away filth.' The Shuowen says: 'It depicts a hand holding a cloth sweeping to the right of a doorway.' The second character is pronounced with the fanqie 兵命 [bing]. The Zishu says: 'To grasp, to hold, to grip.' The Shuowen says: 'It takes the wood radical 木 and the phonetic 丙').
