Clipped plumage (鎩翮): [鎩 has] the fanqie 山八反 [shā]. The Huainanzi states: 'Flying birds with clipped plumage (鎩翮), running beasts with broken feet.' The Kaosheng states: '鎩 means disease of a bird's feathers.' The Shuowen jiezi states: 'Composed of 金 ('metal') with 殺 phonophore.' In transmission, written with 叕 as 錣, which is an error.
