To raise and repair (興葺, pronounced with the fanqie initial [七] and final [立]; Wang Yi's commentary on the Songs of Chu says: '葺 means to pile up'; Du Yu's commentary on the Zuozhuan says: '葺 means to mend and set in order'; the Shuowen jiezi says: 'It takes the radical 草 and the phonetic 咠').
