慊懇（上謙簞反考聲情切也鄭注禮記慊之言猒也說文從心兼聲下口佷反鄭注考工懇堅忍皃也廣雅懇誠也說文懇美皃也從心貇口本反聲）。

Heartfelt sincerity (慊懇, the first character is pronounced with the fanqie initial [謙] and final [簞]; the Kaosheng says: 'Deep feeling'; Zheng Xuan's commentary on the Liji says: '慊 means satisfied'; the Shuowen jiezi says: 'It takes the radical 心 and the phonetic 兼'; the second character is pronounced with the fanqie initial [口] and final [佷]; Zheng Xuan's commentary on the Kaogong ji says: '懇 is the appearance of firmness and endurance'; the Guangya says: '懇 means sincere'; the Shuowen jiezi says: '懇 is an appearance of excellence; it takes the radical 心 and the phonetic 貇, which is pronounced with the fanqie initial [口] and final [本]').
