包挫（補茅反說文裹也有所包裹也傳從艸作苞亦通下租臥反說文挫折也從手坐聲）。

包挫 (to envelop and subdue / to suppress: [the first character is] bu3 [to mend] + mao2 [reed] fanqie. The Shuowen jiezi states: 'To wrap; to have something wrapped up.' In the transmission written with 艸 as苞, which is also acceptable. The lower character is zu1 [rent] + wo4 [to lie down] fanqie. The Shuowen jiezi states: 'To break, to bend.' It takes 手 as radical and zuo4 as phonetic).
