矟纛（霜捉反考聲作矟大矛也縛從木作槊是水名也下同祿反鄭睘注周禮纛羽葆幢也蔡邕獨斷纛者以旄牛尾為之說文從縣毒聲）。

矟纛 (long lances and feathered banners: shuang1 [frost] + zhuo1 [to catch] fanqie. The Kaosheng writes it as 矟, meaning a great spear. If written with 木 as 槊, it is the name of a river. The lower character is tong2 [same] + lu4 [emolument] fanqie. Zheng Xuan's commentary on the Zhouli states: 'Dao (纛) is a feathered canopy standard.' Cai Yong's Duduan states: 'Standards (纛) are made of yak tail.' The Shuowen jiezi states: 'It takes 縣 with du2 as phonetic').
